AI Food ("the App") respects and protects your privacy. To provide meal logging, AI calorie estimation, and related features, we use personal information as described in this Privacy Policy. We treat your information with care and diligence. Except as stated here, we will not disclose or provide your personal information to third parties without your prior consent. We may update this Policy from time to time. By agreeing to the Terms of Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy in full. This Policy is an integral part of the Terms of Service.

This Policy applies to the Android version of AI Food distributed on Google Play and matches the in-app disclosure. Under Google Play requirements, because the App requests sensitive permissions (camera, photos, microphone) and may upload food photos for AI analysis, a valid privacy policy link must appear on the store listing and in the App.

1. Scope

(a) Information you provide or generate while using the App, such as language preference, optional gender, daily calorie goal, height/weight records, food logs (name, calories, macros, time), and membership status;
(b) Information related to device permissions when you use camera, photo library, or microphone features, including food photos you choose to analyze;
(c) Device and log information necessary for stable operation, such as device model, OS version, app version, and crash logs (if any);
(d) Information lawfully obtained from partners when needed to provide the Service.

The following does not fall under this Policy: (a) records when you violate laws or App rules; (b) anonymized statistical data that cannot identify you.

2. Use of Information

(a) We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to unrelated third parties;
(b) We do not allow third parties to unlawfully collect, edit, or disseminate your personal information;
(c) To provide food logging, calorie estimates, membership benefits, body-metric trends, and related functions;
(d) When you use AI food recognition, photos and related requests are sent to our service backend for analysis (see Section 6);
(e) With your consent, to send service-related notices or improve the product.

3. Disclosure and Third Parties

We may disclose personal information when:

(a) You have given prior consent;
(b) Necessary to provide features you request, within the minimum scope required;
(c) Required by law, regulation, or competent authorities;
(d) Necessary to protect the App, users, or public interests;
(e) Other cases we deem appropriate under applicable law.

Third-party services:

Google Play Billing: subscription purchase, renewal, and refunds are handled by Google Play under Google's policies;
Our service backend: when you use cloud AI recognition, photos and necessary request data are sent to our backend (aifood.topwo.com) for analysis;
On-device storage: food logs and settings are stored locally by default. The App does not require a separate user account.

4. Storage and Transfer

(a) Food logs, settings, and body data are stored locally on your device by default;
(b) Deleting entries, uninstalling the App, or clearing app data removes corresponding local information (unless law requires retention);
(c) When you use AI photo recognition (cloud mode), photos and related data may be sent to our service backend for processing.

5. Local Storage and Permissions

(a) The App uses on-device storage to save preferences and records;
(b) Camera: to take food photos for AI analysis;
(c) Photos / gallery: to select existing food photos for analysis;
(d) Microphone: only when you use voice input in manual entry;
(e) You may disable permissions in system settings, which may limit those features.

6. AI Photo Recognition

(a) Production builds use cloud AI by default: when you analyze food photos, images and necessary request data are sent to our service backend to return recognition results;
(b) Results are for reference only and are not medical or professional dietary advice.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Choices and Data Deletion

Delete individual food or body-metric entries in the App;
Clear app data or uninstall the App to remove local information;
Manage or cancel subscriptions in Google Play Subscriptions;
Contact us below for questions or deletion requests related to server processing.

9. Security

(a) Please keep your device secure. We use reasonable measures to protect information processed by the App, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure;
(b) When using subscription or payment features, follow safe practices and protect your account credentials on your device;
(c) If you discover a privacy or security issue related to the App, contact us immediately.

10. Changes to this Policy

(a) If we change this Policy, we will publish updates in the App, on this page, or other appropriate places;
(b) We may revise this Policy at any time; please review it periodically. Material changes may be notified in the App where appropriate.
